What is it?

A mini documentary on a Universal Basic Income.

Why is it interesting?

An Unconditional Basic Income was given to about 700 individuals in a tribal village called Ghodakhurd in Madhya Pradesh, India in 2012 for 12 months. It is one of the 9 villages that received a basic income in what has now came to be known as MP Basic Income Pilot Study. After the initial evaluation in 2013, which showed several positive outcomes, the research team went back to the village to see what outcomes sustained and what tapered off. This film was shot in 2017 and documents the positive effects of Unconditional Basic Income that have sustained.
