Felix and his team have created a unique workspace in the historic Beurs van Berlage, right in the very heart of Amsterdam. A modernist masterpiece from the famous Amsterdam School of architecture, every corner of the building is inspiring for a designer such as me. From the glossed tiles that line the walls to the stained glass the bathes the interior with a happy hue. There is an exceptional selection of spaces in which to work or meet. There is a common area downstairs and a selection of private offices in the upper floors to choose from.
MeetBerlage is a great place to network and gain inspiration from other entrepreneurs. The atmosphere is very positive and everyone there is willing you to succeed in your endeavour. The management team is always coming up with new ways to get people talking and exchanging ideas or contacts, from daily group lunches to hosted energizer sessions in the large foyer area. I’ve personally been in touch with a number of senior entrepreneurs whose advice on starting your own business has been invaluable to setting up and launching UXswitch.
In turn, I’ve been happy to contribute to the burgeoning ideas of others people who frequent the space. MeetBerlage is making a huge difference to the business community in Amsterdam and beyond. I would recommend a visit, you never know who you might meet.
