On May 15th the Social Impact Factory will be the stage for a meetup organized by Brood@Spelen where the main focus is the Experience Economy applied to retail and urban areas. Five speakers explore how to increase value and branding by making use of extraordinary, and yet simple, insights from user’s experience.

Speakers

Albert Boswijk, co-author of ‘Economie van Experiences’ and founder of the European Center for Experience Economy facilitate the following experts on exploring the practical uses and value creation of the Experience Economy in retail and urban areas.

Ronald van den Hoff, co-founder of Seats2meet and author of visionary book Society 3.0, starts the day talking about disruptive business models, decentralization, and how retail, opposite from what a lot of people think, can benefit from those things.

Martin Steur, specializes in Kinetic Consultancy focused on improving the customer experience and service organizations. Steur gives national and international examples of what he calls ‘high traffic spaces’ and how those can be of importance for urban environments.

Ed Breuren talks about their experience and hospitality entrepreneurs in Woerden, where they opened the Stadshotel Woerden and Van Rossum bar and restaurant, a unique and successful combination of boutique hotel and experience eating.

Mark van Doorn, from Phillips Lighting, presents the effects of light, sound, and smell on consumer’s behavior. Mark illustrates those influences with real examples of how retail shops worldwide created a whole new way in which consumers experience their products.
